Ruta Multi-stakeholder initiatives

Member evaluation
We independently benchmark member participation in initiatives by developing performance metrics, comparing activities, and assessing performance against organisational commitments. We provide good practice analysis and examples to illustrate member progression.

Project assessment
We undertake assessment of multi-stakeholder projects for project sponsors or for participating stakeholder groups.

Special projects
We undertake customised research into emerging policy areas or challenging issues such as migrant labour or respecting freedom of association in countries with weak governance. We also provide sectoral and country-specific research. We co-ordinate and facilitate multi-stakeholder projects internationally.

Training
We provide training for member organisations on understanding labour standards and human rights, emerging issues and practical implementation of policies and systems. Often this involves training on understanding different stakeholder perspectives, their roles and expectations.

Complaints arbitration
We undertake independent evaluation of member or stakeholder complaints lodged as part of an institution’s formal or informal procedures. This can lead to findings of fact or arbitration/mediation dependent on the nature of the complaint and procedure used.

Peer reviews
We provide confidential peer reviews of public reports and other disclosures to highlight strengths and weaknesses and anticipate external reaction.
